Freedom is a commonly misunderstood commodity and one we desperately all seek. We will fight; even give our lives for the hope of physical freedom.
There is more to being free than indulging in the many freedoms we take for granted. In this great country of the United States of America our forefathers gave their lives for our freedoms. The freedom from bondage to a government without representation and the freedoms of religion, speech and press. The freedom to live our lives for the most part, as we choose. We choose our careers, our spouses, where we live, the businesses we own, where our children go to school. We live in a country where anything is possible because we are free to make it so.
But, even with all of our physical freedoms many of us are still enslaved. We have encased ourselves in emotional prisons, held captive by our perceptions of the experiences of our lives. We build an impervious shell around ourselves made up of anger, blame and guilt; then pretend that we are safe and happy in the prisons we have made. Fear of what lies beyond our prison walls prevents us from trying to escape.
Breaking down the walls and finding our freedom is as simple as pushing through an already cracked door. Each one of us has the ability to live a magnificent life by simply choosing to break through our emotional barriers, let go of our self-perceived limitations and embrace true freedom.
Each one of us has the ability to be emotionally free and experience the pure peace that accompanies it. It is our ability to liberate ourselves our emotional attachments to the past that allows us to live a truly magnificent life.

Finding My Purpose
As a little girl I had no idea what I wanted to be, but looking at my mother and the other women in my small secluded community I knew what I did not want. I left home as a teenager and spent my life trying to find myself and what I wanted. I tried different cities, relationships, jobs, careers. It wasn’t until I was in my forties and in a mid-life crisis that I was forced to really take a look at what I wanted for the second half of my life. Still asking myself “what do I want to be when I grow up?” What I have discovered is that I am a teacher, but not in the traditional sense. My life purpose is to share my story. To teach other women what I have learned along the way and empower them to use what I have learned in their own lives.

Magnificent Women are Authentic
The words “authentic” and “authenticity” are buzzwords that are thrown about in the media and in literature, but what does it really mean to be authentic?
Being authentic is the ability to be true to oneself. Living an authentic life requires the ability to be true to our own wants, needs and desires and not live our lives by the opinion of others. Being authentic is the ability to make self-honoring choices and stand firmly in who we are in our core.
In order to live an authentic life we have to first know who we are. It requires that we stop looking outside ourselves for validation and appreciation and instead go within ourselves and discover the true woman within.
When we connect to who we are at the core of our being the light of truth engulfs us. It comes to us as a warm feeling of coming home and a charge of energy that explodes into every cell of our being. It is a feeling of connectedness to ourselves that cannot be denied. Once we have truly connected with who we are life as we know it is forever transformed. A new confidence and a new awareness take us places we may have never imagined possible.
When we stay connected to our true self at the center of our being we live our lives in pure authenticity. We love who we are and no longer feel the need or desire to live by the expectations of anyone outside ourselves. We are able to listen to ourselves and know what is best for us; we know what brings us the greatest joy and fulfillment.
Being true to ourselves gives us the insight and compassion to see others for who they are, not who we expect them to be. It frees us up from the judgment of ourselves and others and it gives others the freedom to be themselves as well.
When we are true to the magnificent woman within us, our authenticity and integrity spills out into our world and allows us to live our lives in unconditional love and acceptance.

THIS IS EXCELLENT
Bridging the Gap. General Colin Luther Powell :American Statesman and Four Star General in the United States ArmyFormer Secretary of State to President George W. Bush.
The less you associate with some people, the more your life will improve. Any time you tolerate mediocrity in others, it increases your mediocrity. An important attribute in successful people is their impatience with negative thinking and negative acting people. As you grow, your associates will change. Some of your friends will not want you to go on. They will want you to stay where they are. Friends that don't help you climb will want you to crawl. Your friends will stretch your vision or choke your dream. Those that don't increase you will eventually decrease you.Consider this:Never receive counsel from unproductive people. Never discuss your problems with someone incapable of contributing to the solution, because those who never succeed themselves are always first to tell you how. Not everyone has a right to speak into your life. You are certain to get the worst of the bargain when you exchange ideas with the wrong person. Don't follow anyone who's not going anywhere. With some people you spend an evening: with others you invest it. Be careful where you stop to inquire for directions along the road of life. Wise is the person who fortifies his life with the right friendships. If you run with wolves, you will learn how to howl. But, if you associate with eagles, you will learn how to soar to great heights."A mirror reflects a man's face, but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses."The simple but true fact of life is that you become like those with whom you closely associate - for the good and the bad.
Note: Be not mistaken. This is applicable to family as well as friends. Yes...do love, appreciate and be thankful for your family, for they will always be your family no matter what. Just know that they are human first and though they are family to you, they may be a friend to someone else and will fit somewhere in the criteria above."In Prosperity Our Friends Know Us. In Adversity We Know Our friends.""Never make someone a priority when you are only an option for them.""If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception, it is a prevailing attitude".....

Magnificent Women are Love
What is love? Many people view love as though as a tangible item that is given and received between two people. They see it as a special moment people share, a connection to another person that if lost affects them in a deep and terribly hurtful way.
But true love is much deeper and richer than a connection between two people; it is our connection to ourselves and everything around us. Each one of us has the ability within us to live a life in pure love every moment of every day. True love, or unconditional love, cannot be gained from anywhere outside ourselves. It doesn’t come to us as a gift, it doesn’t manifest in a box of chocolates or even in a kiss. Love isn’t something we give and receive as demonstration of our feelings.
Love is more than just a feeling; it is energy. It is the life force that flows between every living thing. Love is found in the blades of grass beneath our toes. It is in the smell of flowers and in the song of birds. It is the very essence of all creation and it is who we are. It is within us from the moment we take our first breath of life.
Love is always inside of us and given the opportunity to let it grow it will fill us up. In this fullness we begin to overflow with love and compassion, not just for those close to us, but for all of humanity. It is an energy that resonates from our core and flows out into the world around us.
When we stop looking outside ourselves for love we begin to discover that it never left us. When we stop looking for love and discover it within ourselves the universe opens up a realm of relationships we never imagined possible.
All of the love you will ever need to live a magnificent life is already within you!
